So Assassins are becoming officially useless in any sort of pvp.
Not sure that's a bad thing tho.

Useless? nah.
Pushed to play by the same rules as everyone else? (i.e. positioning) Sure, why not?

the problem was and still is that without insta gib shadow step, sin are useless. except 2-3 builds (shattering assault, Moebius Strike and Assault Enchantments that 2 of those are more enc striping then dmg) so where are sins going?
it would be interesting to see if ppl would still play with shadow step, or try to make sins more utility/snares/front line or just that sins will not see any high end pvp. all else is the same, im sure will still be seeing tons of sins running with scythe all over the place.
overall its a fix, not a good one, not a bad one.

Probably not the right thread but... seriously. Whoever is doing the skill updates now, needs to stop being stupid. Signet of Midnight needs to be nerfed. 20 second recharge, no less, there needs to be some downtime. Plague Sending+10s recharge SoM is WAY overpowered in RA. 20 second would still make it viable, but would also make it not permablind.
I don't know how they can just overlook that shit. No I'm not mad. Oh wait I can take out my LR for Antidote Signet and just get whomped on by melee, totally forgot, silly me. Can use it on other melee too! A/D/R, W/P/R Ooh yeah!!! Oh hell I don't need a run or a secondary KD on my hammer war as long as I have Antidote Signet (or any other blind removal for that matter) I'm INVINCIBLE!!!

Plague Sending is meant to be fast to get rid of the nasties you draw with Foul Feast, yes it sends blind just as well as any other conditions, but its just the messenger no the source of the blind.

I'm sure nerfing Signet of Midnight would have devastated the Guru tournament.

Who knows, [rawr] could have used a few of these, along with there 3 DA's and 2 Monks...
Srs now:
I hate the fact that Anet, once again, delayed the skill update...
It WAS supposed to be here A MONTH AGO!!! Then they said some staff had fallen ill, so they couldn't do it. Ok that's fine, lame excuse for simply not having to say: "we just cba updating this game no more", but ok, 1 week, that works...
Mid-week, we get the message: "Yeah, it won't be for this week either, with the festival and stuff, our devs etc are busy" -BUSY DOING WHAT? Festival is nothing moe than Copy/Paste of last year's, I fail to see how much coding goes into something that has already been made, including this year's festival hat-
Anyways, us, the still-after-numerous-of-slaps-in-the-face, loyal community go with it, and we say: OK, 2 weeks, seems fair.
What happened last week? Clearly stated it was going to happen straight after the festival?
Ok, nothing happened, and this week, they hide behind the excuse that they don't want to mess up GWG challenge.
In overal, you've delayed your skill update by an intire month. Srs now, Anet didn't have it ready to begin with. I wouldn't be surprised that at this very moment, the "skill update"-patch still reads 0 kb.
But hey, it's Anet, we're used to them doing nothing, untill the community screams so loud, the competition (Bizzard, even Jagex) just starts laughing on how bad Anet treats their community...
Hey, I'm still happy...

So the week after the guru tourney is almost passed and no follow up update, guess they're going to follow their notorious trend and release it 2 nights before an AT instead Who knows maybe 3 weeks from now too.

I'm just glad to see that the few fixes of this update doesn't have any major weird things included.
A couple of small, decent patches > one big screwed up patch.

if anet really will release it 2 days before the mAT, then the resulting mAT is gonna be very shitty due to massive amounts of buildwars... especially considering how big this update is supposed to be.
